Community and Safety Guidelines

LIMITED ALPHA DRAFTThis information is available for prerelease review and will be finalized before general publication.

Viaduct is designed for learning, thoughtful play, and a welcoming community that includes new card-game players, curious Bridge players, youth age 13 and older, seniors, families, and educators.

Be welcoming

  • Treat every player with patience and respect.
  • Remember that another player may be learning, using a small screen, or

recovering from a network interruption.

  • Do not shame a player for a bid, card, score, age, experience, disability,

language, or technical difficulty.

  • Do not impersonate another player or choose a misleading or abusive name.

Play fairly

  • Use only the information that the game rules reveal to your seat.
  • Do not share private hands, coordinate secretly with a partner, control

multiple Regular Play seats, or use software to select actions.

  • Do not exploit a defect. Stop and report a security, privacy, scoring, or

hidden-card problem privately.

  • Manual Testing mode is for observation and testing, not for earning public

results or misleading other players.

Protect privacy and safety

  • Do not ask players for passwords, verification codes, precise location,

financial information, or other sensitive personal details.

  • Do not post another person’s private information.
  • Do not use threats, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, grooming,

scams, spam, or unwanted commercial promotion.

  • If a situation may involve immediate danger, contact local emergency

services. Viaduct support is not an emergency service.

Reporting a problem

Send ordinary reports to support@viaduct.club. Send a suspected security or private-information exposure directly to security@viaduct.club. A useful report includes:

  • the approximate date and time;
  • the table number and board phase, if relevant;
  • the displayed username involved;
  • what happened and what was visible; and
  • a screenshot, if it can be shared without exposing a password, token,

private email, or another player’s private hand.

Do not include passwords, cookies, email links, API keys, or connection strings. Reports will be reviewed for safety, fairness, technical defects, or policy violations as appropriate.

Responses

Depending on severity and available evidence, Viaduct may explain a rule, correct a defect, remove a result, warn a player, restrict access, suspend an account, or permanently remove access. Safety and privacy take priority over preserving a game result.
